Fact Sheet
Organization
The Polly Klaas® Foundation is a national non profit that helps find missing children and prevents children from going missing by promoting public policies, educating the public and providing families, law enforcement and communities with the ongoing support and expertise needed to protect our children.
History
The Foundation was formed following the 1993 abduction and murder of 12-year-old Polly Klaas, who was kidnapped by a stranger from her Petaluma, California bedroom. Since then, we have helped over 6,900 families with missing children and played an instrumental role in a national campaign that established Amber Alerts in all 50 states and nationally.
